Experience:

Main areas of investigations are: physical inverse problems of image reconstruction and tomography; subsurface reflectometry and radiometry of dielectric media; non-invasive electromagnetic diagnostics; remote sensing of the atmosphere using passive microwave and refraction measurements. He has also papers in radio astronomy and gases spectroscopy. He is the author and co-author more than 300 journal articles and conference papers.

 

Program Leader:

1988-1990 – Diagnostics of radio wave propagation in atmosphere by satellite signals, including ship-born measurements of the radio refraction in the 16-th expedition of the research vessel "Academician Nesmeyanov" (1989) (Program “TRANSIT- NIRFI”).

1989 – Theoretical development of the limb-viewing satellite spectrometer scheme for measurements of minor gas components concentration in the millimeter radio wave range” (Program of Popov’s Society).

1992 – Theoretical and experimental investigations of retrieval methods of inversion layers parameters by satellite signals (Program “Morminal-NIRFI”)

1992 – Helicopter microwave radiometry measurements of oil pollutions and ice on lakes in Western Siberia (Program “Ob”);

1993 Underground sounding from the mounted platform (Kharkov, 1993)

1993 Development of methods of the radiometric monitoring of underground (Program “Eko”)

2003 – present - Project of Physics Department of Russian Academy of Sciences (“Tomography of terrestrial crust using ultra low frequency fields”),

2004 – present - Project of Physics Department of Russian Academy of Sciences (“Near-field electromagnetic sounding of dielectric and conductive media”).

 

Teaching
